This is because as new technology is developed, camcorders are equipped with a number of features that allow for better recording, better resolution and easier editing. Among the current crop of camcorders, digital camcorders rate the best. However, there are many digital camcorders available and some are better than others. Among digital cameras, the mini digital video camcorders (Mini DV) are at the top of the list.

Hard drives are now also used with camcorders, giving users higher storage capacity ranging from 60 to 120 gigabytes (or even more). Mostly used with HD camcorders, it is also easier to transfer or stream its contents to computers and media players since videos are stored in ready to play formats. But they are quite expensive plus contents can be lost once the hard drive got broken even for Solid State Drive (SSD).

Demonstration of a Elmo 16mm 5-Blade projector with and without a diffuser glass for a Ebay auction.The image was projected on a screen and picked up with a Panasonic 3CCD digital camcorder on mini DV then put on disc then converted to .avi file and finally uploaded to youtube.The sound was inputed from the mic jack on the projector and plugged directly into the mic plug on the camcorder.No computer enhancement was used.
